Olive: lifts her head from her nest. She had not been sleeping, rather lost in throughly. Getting to her paws, she nervously paces out of the warrior's den with a gentle shiver and fluff of her pelt

Ash: brushes his tail along the camp entrance as he enters the camp clearing from the forest, a small and malnourished-looking vole in his jaws; it was small, but at least it was something. He brought it over to the dwindling fresh-kill pile and set it down slowly, blinking and kneading his paws as he eyed the small pile of half-frozen rodents, his mind dwelling sadly on how few cats this group of prey would feed. With a sigh, he turned from the pile, his ears pinned back

Olive:  she lifts her head and allows her eyes to dance around the camp. It seemed empty, aside from a few cars here and there. As she glanced towards the fresh kill pile, Olivefrost's ears flicked up upon noticing familiar gray tabby looming over it. Mustering her will, she slowly made her way over to him, flicking her tail in a silent greeting to the gray tom.

Ash: he raises his gaze slightly as he notices a figure coming towards him, and instantly recognizes the familiar pelt of Olivefrost Oh, hey Olive! smiles rather cheerfully, lifting his head and tilting it as she flicks her tail in hello, his whiskers gently quivering How's it going? Pretty cold today, huh? he meows conversationally, his leaf-green gaze flickering from hers to the sky as he mentioned the weather, absentmindedly wondering when it would finally get warmer

Olive: with an enthusiastic purr, the ginger and white she-cat blinked warmly, despite the anxious vibes she had been previously giving off. Hey, Ash. she says this with a delicate purr and a gentle headbutt to his shoulder. Pretty well. I was having a word with Owlsong earlier, and it seems like Lily may be close to receiving her assessment. she lets out a breathy sigh, lost somewhere between happiness and sadness. It's crazy how fast they grow up, don't you think? It's like you blink, and suddenly they're ready to be adults. It's scary. she chuckles nervously, sitting down. Wrinkling her nose, she nods in agreement Definitely too cold if you ask me. Newleaf can't come soon enough.

Ash: flicks his tail tip cheerfully That's great! Lilypaw is shaping up to be a great apprentice- hopefully she'll be a Warrior soon in that case! smiles cheerfully at the she-cat, his gaze bright with enthusiasm Yeah, I can't believe my kits are already apprentices, much less half-way through their training already. Time flies! he chuckles, nodding at her sentiment that their fast-rate growing was scary True that- Newleaf will be a welcome change from all this white and cold. blinks and turns his head towards her, his nose twitching Though I'm sure you'll miss the Leaf-bare so much narrows his eyes playfully

Olive: nods happily, glad that her daughters were shaping up to be great assets to the clan. She was glad they were able to be successful, even after the traumas they had experienced early on in life. Agreed. It'll be odd to have her a warrior too; especially since we weren't named warriors all that long ago, either. What was it, twelve moons ago? Or longer? My memory is about as foggy as this weather. grunts quietly with a smug chuckle. oh yes, how I will weep when the snow melts. cant help but laugh Hopefully we'll get a plentiful greenleaf this season. Starclan knows we could use it, and soon.

Ash: smiles gently No clue- time flies so fast, I have no idea how long its' been. Too much stuff happening in too short of time, I think smirks, flicking an ear at the thought Yeah- I'm sure Duscleback is eager for the first herbs of Greenleaf.. seeing as she's probably running low on them already, with all the sick cats he sighs, looking around at the quiet Clan life that bustled about the Clearing It's a little loud here lol no I know you don't like the cold much, but.. well, do you wanna go on a walk or something? Maybe it'd help get your blood pumping so you're not so chilly gives her a small smile, tilting his head as he awaited her answer

Olive: laughs quietly and shakes her head Oh well. We're not old yet. gently nudges him with a playful smirk. her eyes seem to brighten at his idea, and she nods Totally loud. grins But yeah, I don't mind. I'd like to go. she lifts her ears, and easily pushes herself to her paws. the body heat that had formed between her legs and stomach quickly disappeared, but she simply shivered it off I'm ready when you are...! phew. perhaps luck was doing all the work for her. she'd been meaning to talk to him about something this morning, anyways, so maybe she'd have an excuse to bring it up.

Ash: purrs at her answer, excited at the prospect of going on a walk with the she-cat Alright, let's go then! doesn't know exactly where they were going, but they'd go, well, somewhere! He led the way towards the camp entrance, and then out into the forest, his short-but-thick fur bushing up at a strong gust of wind StarClan, that's cold. You'd think the weather could let up for just a moment! he says as a gust of wind throws snow right into his face, and he sputters indignantly

Olive: giggles cheerfully and trots after him, her tail waving jauntily behind her. leaping over a small mound that had formed near the entrance, she slid down a ways, then regained pace with him Agreed. I'm surprised we haven't frozen solid yet. she says this with a rough sigh and fluffs her pelt defiantly against the harsh, icy wind. Obvious enough as it was, she rather disliked any form of cold, despite how hot it got in the summers. Clearing her throat as they got a little further into the woods, she coughed quietly against the cold, her breath swirling into the air with a foggy atmosphere.

Ash: he trots after her, tail waving through the air, as she padded through the forest next to him. As she speaks about freezing solid, Ashcloud lets out a soft purr of agreement, a look of amusement on his face, which disappeared quickly as she cleared her throat and coughed Olivefrost? Are you okay? You're not sick, are you? he looks extremely concerned, his eyes wide and his hackles slightly bristling as he presses his nose to her forehead, as if checking for a fever of some sort

Olive: halts as he does, her tail waving softly above the snow. quickly picking up on his apprehensive tone, she lowered her ears. just beginning to shake her head, she stopped, as he had moved to touch his nose to her forehead, in order to keep from stubbing his nose or something silly like that. her eyes easily pooled over with relief and a bit of charm, and she blinks softly No, I'm not sick - or at least to my knowledge. If I was, I would tell you. she giggles, but her gaze soon grows serious once more Actually, there was... there was something I wanted to tell you. Or, ask about, rather.

Ash: at her words he visibly calmed, his fur flattening and his gaze growing softer Oh, thank StarClan.. murmurs, flicking his tail tip I don't even know what I'd do if you were sick.. the tips of his ears grow warm and he looks slightly startled at his own words, as if he didn't mean for them to slip out; at her words of interest at a discussion, however, his ears perked back up, and he tilted his head curiously Oh? What is it? I haven't done anything wrong, have I? the light joke played on his whiskers, causing them to quiver at his slightly humorous intentions

Olive: her eyes grew a bid rounder at his comment, and she too felt the tips of her ears and cheeks growing flushed. ignoring this fact, though it remained, she curled her tail around her paws, directly confronting the cold that tampered with the circulation in her toes. Feeling more at ease now that she was comfortable and more confident, she glanced away, to her right, specifically, and shivered once. Haha, no, no. You didn't do anything wrong. she offers an almost involuntary smirk, and shakes it off to be replaced with a rather faint smile. So, um... immediately, her heart seemed to climb into her throat, and her pulse quickened. About that night... when we watched the sunset at the lake. her nose seemed to wrinkle shyly, and her whiskers quivered as she tightened the curl of her tail

Ash: feels relieved at her words that he didn't do anything wrong, though he was about 90% sure of that in the first place, he nods, waiting for her to be more specific Oh? he meows as he vividly pictures that night, when they sat in the tree branches and watched the stars blink across the lake's quiet and still ice-filled water What about it? tilts his head, curious emotion in his gaze as he eyed the she-cat, his tail tip twitching slowly back and forth and his paws kneading the cold snow, trying to keep his toes moving

Olive: dismissively flicks an ear, and shuffles her paws nervously. what if she had misinterpreted the entire situation? gradually, a fear began to swell up in her chest, but she tried to push it back down. shyly, she lifted her head, and looked at him, her gaze clouded with worry, confusion, and eagerness. What... what did you mean? When you said all those things, I mean. Was that just... two friends hanging out, being.. well, uh, friends?

Ash: looks concerned as she shows signs of nervousness, his gaze set on her as she shuffled uncomfortably, a twinge of fear moving in his gut, but as she spoke, he realized the means of her concern, and flicked an ear Oh, that.. he caught her gaze, and though he felt rather nervous about explaining himself before, he felt a sort of reassurance in looking into her eyes Well um.. I thought I made it pretty clear that.. that I have feelings for you, Olivefrost... he trails off, hoping desperately that that was the right thing to say, or that hopefully she didn't adamantly oppose that expression of feeling; he couldn't help it- he wanted it to be true for her too, but if she felt the need to ask about it, well.. he was suddenly nervous again, feeling very hot in the ears and grasping to the hope that he didn't say the wrong thing

Olive: it became physically clear that a wave of relief had flooded over her; her eyes softened, and the tenseness that had once resided in her muscles slipped away. lifting her ears a bit, she nodded once, as if to try and reassure him Y-you did, I think! I just... wanted to make sure that I hadn't... interpreted the situation incorrectly. her pelt seemed to fluff up a bit at her following statement. I'm... glad I wasn't wrong. despite being relieved so soon, she still felt at unease. I... I understand if you think this is as far as we should take things, or at most for the time being... but uh... is this.. serious? I mean, I've had a couple of 'flings' in my past, and I know you and Sycamoreheart really clicked, I suppose. she glances away, worried that she was being too talkative.

Ash: he lets out a soft sigh of relief as she affirms the fact that she wasn't, well, uncomfortable with his words. He blinks, gazing down at the small she-cat with a small smirk Oh. I thought that, um.. well, I don't know what I thought. I'm sure if I said it out loud it'd sound really dumb he purrs roughly, glancing away embarrassed. As she said her next statements, he grew still, his breath seeming to catch in his throat, especially at Sycamoreheart's mention Oh, um.. his voice was a little shaky, but he cleared his throat before continuing Olivefrost, I think that.. well, I think that we can take things as far as you want to take things. I-I know that what Sycamoreheart and I had was great, and it was its' own special thing, but this is our thing with a small heartbeat of hesitation, he then moves in a step to bend down and softly lick her nose

Olive: with a flustered blink, she crossed her eyes slightly as the silver tom drew his tongue agross the bridge of her nose. fluttering her eyes shyly, she returned his favor with a lick to the side of his muzzle. Mustering whatever confidence she had left, she nodded to him, and blinked nervously, chills running down her spine I see... well, um. I'm... up for it, I think. Whenever you're ready to... take another step into... uh, 'this', I'll be ready too. glancing up into his eyes, she searched eagerly for a positive confirmation in his gaze.

Ash: he grows extremely warm at the feel of her tongue on his cheek and he pins his ears back in shyness, though the mixed emotions of excitement, fear, and wonder shone in his leaf-green gaze. He pricked his ears as she spoke, growing still once more, though his tail tip twitched every so often, absentmindedly, and as she finished speaking and glanced up at him for affirmation, he let a small smile fall onto his muzzle, a soft glow to his gaze as he gave her a small nod Well meows quietly, moving his muzzle close to her ear and giving it a lick I think that I'm rather eager to see how this pans out... he trails off, curling his tail around to gently brush her flank And.. I'm glad you're up for it. That makes me very happy. an almost kitlike excitement glows in his eyes, his whiskers gently quivering

Olive: her heart seemed to quiver as he agreed with the words she had spoken not out loud, but rather in her head. her cheeks grew warm with a mixture of embarrassment and happiness, and she softly perked her ears I agree...  a small smile had tempted the edges of her muzzle successfully, and blinked curiously up at him with a faint laugh at his childish enthusiasm. cocking a brow, she shook her head softly, draping her tail over his. So what happens now?

Ash: What happens now? Well.. he huffs and lifts his head slightly, flicking his ear we could finish this walk we decided to take he purrs, giving her a sly wink before taking a small step in the direction they had been heading before they stopped to talk Or do you mean something less literal? the smile stays on his muzzle, and he tilts his head, waiting for her response

Olive: gently rolling her eyes, she got to her feet, stretching her legs with a long sigh. smirking slightly, she swatted his tail with her own in a playful way. Well, don't get me wrong, that works, but I was thinking a bet more figuratively. chuckles quietly. However, what she said was true; she certainly wouldn't mind getting out of this cold. he paws were a bit on the numb size, and small snowflakes had grown stuck to her pelt.

Ash: he purrs in amusement Come on, let's walk so your paws don't get stuck to the ground he curls his tail around her to pull her forward gently as he walked, his eyes narrowed in a playful manner Well Olivefrost, what does happen now? he glances back at her, his ears perked up in a curious manner Or rather, what would you like to happen now? That's more of an accurate question for me to ask, I would think he meows as he continues to walk, his long legs making a thick trail in the deep snow

Olive: purrs as he tugs her onward a bit, and she begins to trudge through the snow, her paws lifting up a bit higher to avoid dragging them along. Probably a good idea. I can barely remember what it feels like to have warm pawpads. she chuckles, her eagerness for newleaf only strengthening. As he spoke, she glanced up at the bare canopy of trees with a thoughtful quiver of her whiskers Well... I... don't know. I guess. she wrinkles her nose, at a slight loss for ideas or words in general. as he continued to speak, she blinks curiously in his general direction I, uhm... haha. Don't know, really... what about you? she asks this hopefully, as if he might have an idea instead

Ash: Humm.. he murmurs, slowly moving to a stop at her question and giving her a sideways glance, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully I think that what I would like to happen now is.. is just to be with you, Olivefrost. And what happens, happens. I don't want to put pressure on anything at all, or make you uncomfortable, or me uncomfortable.. he pauses taking a small breath that causes a puff of mist to cloud in front of his face I just know that whatever happens next, it will be our thing he gives her a soft smile, tilting his head at her curiously as if gauging how well his answer went across Sorry, I'm not much for words.. in fact, it's rather a wonder I haven't just stopped being able to speak altogether with all this stuttering you've caused me to do he winks Pretty she-cats seem to have that effect on me...

Olive: puffing her cheeks up, she halted for a moment, and hesitantly pushed onwards A-Ah...! W-well! Um... with wide eyes and furrowed brows, she follows him with her fur sticking up in just about every direction, her face painted with an obvious, blunt red haze. Aren't you just a gentleman, then? cocks a brow playfully, however, her face was still notably red. or at least more so than usual, as the cold weather usually had that effect on someone. Ahaha, I'm sure this sounds like a silly question... but swallows once, trying to mask her shyness with confidence you mean... together, as in figuratively, right? Or do you just wanna be around me, because I have an undeniably-awesome affect on people? B)

Ash: flicks his tail tip as she bustles up next to him, eyeing her and noting her flustered nature Yes, I did mean figuratively, that is u-unless you'd like it differently flicks his ears backwards, pinning them to his skull as he looks away with an awkward glance. He had no idea how to do this kind of thing; with Sycamoreheart, they just were. No talking about it, really, they were simply an item before he even knew it. This, however, was different; he barely knew how to talk, much less how to talk about this kind of thing Though, you certainly do have an undeniably awesome effect on people smiles shyly, flicking his tail tip as he glances down at his paws

Olive: the pinkish tint on her cheeks grew softer, and she gave him a sweet laugh Haha, I certainly wouldn't. hoping she'd not made him uncomfortable asking so many blunt questions, she glanced his way, trying to read his expression. Ah, um. Sorry for asking so many questions. Dating Quail and Robin was a lot different. They tended to get their reasoning across pretty clearly, I guess it's rubbed off on me, too. flicks an ear, and glances around. They had gotten pretty far into the woods by now, and it was nearing sunhigh Right? she proudly sticks her nose in the air, soon followed by a good-natured chuckle

Ash: well.. I mean, I'm sorry my answers are so.. Crappy pins his ears back it's just, well, I've never really had to deal with this kind of thing before, you know? flicks his tail absentmindedly, glancing her way as she lets out a laugh and letting a small smile fall onto his muzzle I'm sorry, Olivefrost. Like I said, I'm no good with this whole speaking thing he trails off with an awkward smile in her direction, though he keeps his gaze on her and his smile softens but.. I feel like when I'm with you, I dunno... My words are so nervous to impress you they have trouble coming out he looks away sheepishly

Olive: lowers her ears, and blinks up at him in surprise. that's what this was all about? it almost seemed silly to her - cute, nevertheless. ... Impress? Are you kidding? You don't need to try and impress me. Just be yourself, because I like the guy you already are! offers him a sweet smile I mean, look at me. I'm one of the biggest dweebs OakClan has ever been blessed with. There's no reasoning in trying to win my affection. B) she smirks, and affectionately licks his cheek before playfully hopping ahead. turning, she looks back at him with a devilishly playful glint in her eye

Ash: are you kidding me? takes a step forward of course I need to impress you... You deserve nothing less, Olivefrost.. smiles gently and touches his nose to her ear sure, you might think you're a dweeb, but.. Well, I know that you're special. You're worth trying to impress, okay? blinks as she licks his cheek, his ears growing hot, and narrowing his eyes playfully as she hops ahead, glancing back as if in a challenging way; he leaps after her, his bushy tail waving in the air, and his whiskers quivering

Olive: blushes shyly at his comment, her ear slightly twitching under his touch. however, now that she was ahead, she giggled, squealing playfully and darting ahead to escape him. You'll never catch me, Ashcloud! Give it up! she laughs loudly, trying to loop back around and head back towards camp in case someone was out hunting. Scaring off prey was the last thing she wanted to do - or anyone else for that matter - in this type of weather.

Ash: narrows his eyes playfully, leaping after her, his long striped legs bursting easily over the snow, causing him to move in easy leaps and bounds; he stayed a few steps behind her, though, so that he could watch her pretty pelt as she ran gleefully through the snow  give it up? Never, I say! purrs quietly to himself as he chases after her, his tail waving in the air as he leapt through the mounds of snow leading back to camp

Olive: impishly waving her tail behind her as she jogged on ahead, she laughed loudly, slinging a bit of snow off of her slightly-matted pelt. Is that so? Well, it is to no avail! There's no way you can beat me back to camp! quickening her pace, but only so, making it somewhat clear she did not mean to make a real competition. her paws were much too stiff to work herself any faster than the speed she had already accumulated now.

Ash: chuckles quietly Oh dear, I've lost my grace and skill as a runner! What ever will I do! rolls his eyes playfully and speeds up with her, his tail waving cheerfully as they ran, and his light green gaze glinting with what could only be described as glee You're too good! There's no beating the amazing Olivefrost!

Olive: laughs playfully, jogging on ahead through the snow. The land was beginning to slope up: it was now that she would make her true escape! You can't take me down! she sprints ahead, leaping with slight struggle up the hill. Underestimating how difficult it would be to climb the slope, she rapidly grew out of breath

Ash: he lets out a playful giggle, very unmanly of course, at her laugh, loving that she was so playful and happy at the moment. He leaps through the snow after her, his paws skimming the surface of the snow with every jump, gracefully bounding through the mounds of fresh white powder and kicking up snow after himself with slight unintentional grace I don't know about that! he meowed to her words of playful spite, as he was gaining on her already, her smaller frame struggling to get up the snowy hill; he leapt faster and faster, then, suddenly he jumped and tackled her gently into a passing mound of snow, causing tufts of cold, white snowflakes to go flying in their wake as he bundled into her, both of them falling to a halt

Olive: Olive had almost made it to the top of the steep ledge when suddenly she was shoved softly into a heap of snow, followed by a quick squeal, and making a deep dent in the fresh ice. Having had her eyes shut, they carefully opened again, and she blinked up at Ashcloud, who was now, well, stuck. On top of her, nonetheless. Giggling and lifting a forepaw, she dusted some snow off his nose Hiya. Fancy meeting you here. lashes her tail playfully, giving him a smug blink. I mean, not that I mind being buried alive in snow, then covered with a big kitten. B)

Ash: when he opens his eyes, he has his paws around the she-cat, and they both lay in the snow, covered in white flakes and very out of breath, his gaze filled with kit-like playfulness; he laughs at her words Yes, hello he purrs, smiling Oh, good. I'm glad you don't mind, because otherwise it'd be a tad weird he narrows his eyes playfully, leaning in to gently touch his nose to hers To be honest, I do usually mind snow myself.. but right now, I don't think I mind too much he tilts his head playfully, then leaps away, backwards Come on, then, you're gonna fall behind! he calls with a wink in her direction, once again leaping towards camp

Olive: her eyes grew round at his sweet tone, and her eyelashes fluttered shyly as he softly touched his nose to hers. Staring up at him, she couldn't help but smile obviously, giggling quietly. About to wrap her paws around his neck, the tom had already flung himself backwards and up the hill. Grunting in frustration, she peeled herself out of the show, shivering it off much like a dog would with water. Ashcloud, you get your sorry rump back here right this instant! she calls after him, a revengeful laugh lacing her tone as she sprung as quickly as she could after the gray tabby tom-cat.

Ash: glances back at the she-cat as she struggles out of the snow, shaking it out of her pelt and coming after him What, so you can claw my ears off? No way! laughs loudly as he leaps away from her, his tail waving cheerfully in the air You'll have to catch me! laughs as he leaps through the snow

Olive: furrows her brows competitively, and claws her way to the top of the slope. Now that the ground was a bit more flat, you could see the great oak above the other trees, as they were bare due to the icy waether. Taking off after him and kicking up ice as she did so, Olivefrost's fur whipped wildly in the wind. Then so be it! You'll regret this later! laughs quietly, but focuses on breathing steadily in order to excelerate. Getting faster and faster, her paws seemed to fly over the thinner snow - this was the fastest she'd been able to run in at least three moons. It felt nice. Weaving expertly through the trees after the long-legged tom, she cursed beneath her breath as she nearly ran into one.

Ash: Oh, will I? he laughs as he springs through the snow, his long legs easily heaving him over the snow, and he glances backwards in time to see her almost weave into a tree Look out, you might hit your hea- his half-laugh half-call was cut off as he himself ran headfirst into a tree, slamming into a dead elm with enough force that, after he crumpled underneath it, the snow from its' branches dropped down and covered him with white plumage, and the only indication of his figure was a slight lump in the snow, which eventually let out a long, sorry  uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh

Olive: hisses playfully Of course you will, snowbrain! shakes her head and rolls her eyes at his comment, predicting his words with ease. Looking ahead again, just in time to catch him run smack into a tree, her ears lowered, and she slowed for a minute, her heart suddenly racing. Her legs quickly pelted towards him, and she skidded to a halt next to his heap of snow Ashcloud? Ash, are you okay? digs a bit of the snow out, squeaking as she finds his head with a dazed expression

Ash: groans as Olivefrost digs the snow off of his head, and he sits up, wobbling precariously, leaning back and forth with a dazed expression I.. probably should have been watching where I was going he gently lifts a paw to touch his head gingerly, hissing as he touches the spot where he slammed his head on the tree Well.. ouch.. that'll be sore for a while seems to have trouble focusing for a moment before he turns his head to the she-cat I'm fine, it's okay. I don't think I bumped it... too hard....

Olive: her muzzle forms into a thin slant, displaying an unamused, yet worried look. Sighing softly, she shook her muzzle, gently taking his side for support Easy does it. Come on, let's get you back to camp. Lucky for you, it's not very far from here. nudges his shoulder with her cheek, urging him to at least try to stand up. He hadn't passed out, which was a good thing, and he was making sense, which was also a good thing. Hoping that he hadn't actually hurt himself, she got to her feet, and flicked snow off of her tail, ready to assist him if he needed it.

Ash: groans quietly, slowly moving to his paws with her help, his ears pinned back Hey, I'm okay... just don't make me go to Duscleback, alright? She'll beat the crap out of me! shudders at the thought of the raggedy old she-cat clawing his ears off for being so stupid As long as you don't beat the crap out of me first, for being so dumb.... for someone who wants to impress you, I don't think I'm doing very well so far he mutters with a sigh, looking somewhat disappointed in himself as he begins the walk back to the camp

Olive: quietly walks alongside him, laughing softly as she took caution not to bump into him. watching his every step, word, and movement with keen eyes to be on alert for signs of... well, something being wrong. Haha, I think you might get worse in there. Your head might just hurt even more with her yelling back and forth. with this in mind, she speaks softly. lashing her tail almost impatiently as they walked - and much slower than before, she eagerly awaited their arrival at the warrior's den. I would never. shyly lowers her ears and only momentarily glances away Look... you don't have to try to be cooler around me. I like you just the way you are, so you don't have to try to impress me. she gently licks his shoulder as they walk Just being yourself is much more valuable to me.

Ash: pins his ears back slightly, though his whiskers twitched in vague amusement at her comment about the medicine cat. He blushes as she speaks about him trying to be 'cooler ' I-I'm sorry, Olivefrost. I didn't meant to.. To act weird or something. I just thought a cat like me, well, didn't deserve a cat like you... I dunno. I'm being dumb I guess he meows as they approach the Warriors den, having walked quite far I'm just.. I'll stop talking now his skin flushes with heat as they pause at the entrance I think it's about time to take a nap... leads the way back inside the den, his steps a little wobbly

[The two proceed to take a nice long nap]
